How do you feel right now?

I really like the deep reverb on the earlier albums, but the Teen Dream just is missing that drowned in echoes sound

i don't get it. teen dream would be "wonderful" if it was by any other band, but it's a 6/10? how come beach house gets a grading system within its own catalogue? i get how a record can be disappointing in relation to the one that preceded it, but why would you give it a rating solely in relation to only that band, and not on its own terms? i get if you would rank teen dream below the s/t and devotion, but the ranking system bemuses me.

beach house is better than most indie bands out there today. just because it got a 6/10 from me does mean anything. im just comparing it to their other releases. teen dream is kind of weak imo. i still prefer the old used to be also.

haha we just really want to do this surprise and like we have a lot of followers but only a few have submitted. haha we're not stressed just eager! plus, we made the deadline way off so i don't think people are as hurried as us
